Honouring 20 Years of Sonny & June – A Family Legacy at IKON

Our people are the heart of everything we do. This month, we proudly celebrate two extraordinary IKON valued team members, Sonny and June, who are marking 20 years of dedicated service.

Their journey began with us servicing our contract at VicRoads, where they quickly became known for their reliability, humility, and work ethic. Fifteen years ago, they helped establish our presence at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) and have been the heart of that team ever since.

But what makes this milestone truly special is that Sonny and June’s story is also a family legacy. Their sons have been a part of the IKON team, and just recently, their two granddaughters joined the team at MCEC, one already stepping up in training to be team leader.

As they put it,

𝘐𝘒𝘖𝘕 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘶𝘴. 𝘞𝘦’𝘷𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦, 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺.

To Sonny and June, we thank you for your loyalty, leadership, and the inspiration you bring to all of us. You’ve helped shape the IKON story and now your legacy continues into the next generation.
